Watched the 1st episode of "gangs of London" last night, a bit rough at times but seems worth watching the next one.
Are they trying to out do peaky blinders?

It was a bit like “Taken” with our hero knocking the bollox out of an endless conveyor belt of Albanian goons in spectacular and implausible fashion. It was mildly entertaining though. I’ll prob give it another go next week

A couple of episodes in and it’s mad. It’s like Line of Duty meets Rambo.

This "Normal People" on RTE1 is looking good, only came across it by chance after PrimeTime there, second of two episodes tonight is starting now.

I sense there will be smut.

Good show.
I got a buzz looking at that that I haven't had off an Irish drama series since Pure Mule.

It was mainly the very well done smut, to be fair, which Pure Mule had in spades too.

Pah, it doesn't have the flirting and deeply awkward sexual tension.

I watched a few more episodes of "Gangs of London". It's pretty bad. There is no realism to the gun fights or general violence. I'm not squeamish but some of the torture scenes were way too graphic. It was like The Revenant which I was previously described as "pain porn".

It's a shame as it could have been good. There's a big budget behind it and some decent actors.

Bachelors Walk gave me expectations of what work life could be like and I aimed for that lifestyle. Mad Men took it to a new level and harder to replicate these days!!

Have the season 1 DVD of Bachelors Walk at home but don't think I ever saw repeats of the other seasons.
