A fully independent court found that their only crime was not cooperating fully with UEFA
So after gloating in February at the decision suddenly it all isn’t fair and the toys are out of the pram Deal with it

Disastrous development for football.
Kleptocracy in action. This is the way organised crime works now and its why we have the far right in power in major countries. |

If this was a smaller club, the decision would have stayed.

Spare a thought for the other top ten premier league clubs, apart from Sheffield United, who at the start of the global pandemic signed a petition to make sure City couldn’t play in the CL while their appeal was ongoing
Great to see justice has been done, unlucky lads

The problem like the PL's VAR is that it is a good idea in theory, but it seriously lacks in practice. The fact that it focusses on debt, as opposed to expenditure, means that clubs have the ability to eliminate the possibility of debt, and then spend as much as they wish, without the fear of tangible sanction (namely getting fined, as opposed to bans).

It's amazing that Manchester City supporters have been so indoctrinated into the ideology that petro-states should be able to buy the justice system. The implications for their wider political views are frightening. This is how fascism actually works. That some Manchester City fans see this as a game, and come after journalists who have tried to highlight the mass murder of their backers and board shows just how far they've gone and been indoctrinated. That CAS ruling isn't a point back or suddenly making the above alright...

Journalists like Delaney and Rob Smith couldn’t wait to take the shine off City’s historic domestic treble win last season, after the FA Cup final, with these now unfounded allegations.
Wonder what they’ll say now I said at the time City never got the credit for that treble. Winning their last 14 league games as well head to head against a super Liverpool side to take the league by a point, and then becoming the first team to win an english domestic treble. A Liverpool fan from the Anfield Wrap said the same on 5 Live last week on a show I was listening to, reminded me of this

They did get credit especially 198 points over two seasons was phenomenol. Likewise LFC’s points for last two seasons.
I dont think any team will match that again.

Am I right in thinking:
- The sponsorship that Man City received in 2014 from Etihad was really jus the owners throwing more money into the club, thus bringing them over the FFP limit. They are guilty of this and thrown out of Europe. - City's objection was that you can only be penalised for a few years after the crime was committed, which has passed. - so they are no longer able to be punished for the crime in 2014, but it was still a crime? As an aside, what has FFP ever prosecuted? I remember 2 Turkish clubs banned a few years back, as were Malaga, Milan are banned next season too aren't they. Is that it? A few transfer bans too, Chelsea and Barcelona spring to mind.

Barcelona and Chelsea transfer bans were nothing to do with FFP.
FFP is the biggest load of bollox anyway. Another ridiculous Platini creation.

CAS haven’t released the full details yet Shedite so we don’t know
I’ve read that the hacked emails by Rui Pinto were never going to stick in an independent court as they were out of context, UEFA looked at one part of an email but when the full email trail was read there wasn’t much in it Not sure if that’s true I know city were very confident going to CAS. Their accounts were fully audited going back to the takeover so they knew they’d nothing to hide
