I agree totally. I don't mean teams going all out attack, I mean teams having stretches of possession, not just ceding it to City as most PL sides do week in week out. Then being hugely positive when they have the ball, even if they win it back off City deep in their own defence. Look at how Real played out from the back last night at times. Soaked up the pressure, won the ball back deep, but took huge risks playing out instead of hoofing it back to PSG. Ramos Varane Carvajal were sensational at this while being under pressure near their own box. Ramos gave a ball playing CB performance I haven't seen in a long time. City generally get the ball back a few seconds after losing it. That won't happen against these CL sides, no matter whether they decide to sit in and counter or press high.

Fyi no one has ever ever ever said Man City are boring.
People have said Man City matches are boring because their opposition just defends deep for 90 mins. Helps if you actually read what the posts are trying to say |

Some EPL teams could do with watching how Bristol City, Wolves and Wigan played against City this season. Yeah they rode their luck at times but they also caused city plenty of problems as they attacked them.

No. I said it’s almost boring how dominant they were over Chelsea. There’s a massive difference. City are brilliant to watch and the best side in England by an absolute mile. But Watching city hit 5/6/7 passes under no pressure is not thrilling viewing, but they’re not to blame for that. |

Pretty sure there were plenty of lads on here saying that Citys games were boring, whether you take that as City themselves are actually boring is another matter. Btw, I was more talking about pundits now mentioning City games being boring, ala Neville and Redknapp a few days ago. Embarrassing punditry.

Depends. I usually add comments related to the thread title. You chose to read it and write a pointless reply |

PS - how does me discussing Man City’s manager on the Man City thread a) offend you or b) mean I’ve been drinking brandy?
You’ve got to ask serious questions about a grown man who turns it somewhat personal when another person posts what I did about Guardiola |
