Agree, I'd say they would have signed Coleman above Walker

I'm certain this was the year Coleman went to one of the top clubs and probably Manchester.

Similar standard to Walker but at least 25% less.

Had they got Alves on a free they would have gone for Walker, Mendy and Bertrand, but because that fell through and they were forced to fork out 26m on Danilo, Bertrand won't be signed now

I can't see him being much use as a DM.

Agree, I'd say [City] would have signed Coleman above Walker
The first rumours* about Walker to City emerged in the Spring. And clubs don't sign £50m players on a whim i.e. without serious scouting, investigation, Agent negotiations, due diligence etc. Plus Guardiola is renowned for his planning and preparation over the medium to long term.

* - Same with Danny Rose, except he is/was less susceptible to a move, and Spurs simply aren't prepared to let him go.

Agree Terry. Coleman has never been linked to City, whereas Walker was consistently since February

Phil Foden. Remember the name.

17 year old who played last night arguably best player on the pitch, local lad also. Pep's already compared him to La Masia.

Danilo deal looks like it should be done soon, Zidane has confirmed he's as good as gone

They have spent a lot of money on defensive players but still feel they need a CB.
Not sure you can rely on Kompany being fit all season and still question marks over Stones.

They have a strong midfield so maybe another back up striker.

They will be better than last year so interesting to see if they can sustain a title challenge.

massively stronger than last year - big improvements on all full backs, Bernardo Silva looks a real talent, i suppose anyone is goal would be an improvement on last year and touch wood a full season for Jesus, as Zidane said maybe a tad light at CB but i would imagine if needs be Walker could slot in there (although positionally i'd be worried about him)

Mendy signing completed.
He was a stand out player anytime I watched Monaco last season, particularly for his attacking play and crosses.

It was 2011 when City last spent any money on the full back areas. Certainly making up for it this summer

I don't ever recall KW playing CB during the eight years he was at Spurs.

And we've had our share of "lemons" in that time - eg Fazio or Chiriches, to name but two at random...

(Come to think about it, I'm not sure Walker ever even headed a ball during his eight years at the Lane... )

€142m on fullbacks LOL

But as you said it is needed and has been for years. You think that they might not be fully finished either Another left back perhaps?

If they can get rid of Mangala then it should help finance a move for someone like van Djik or maybe Inigo Martinez

Meanewhile, here's a random one:
"Samir Nasri has become an outcast among the Manchester City squad on their pre-season tour to the United States after some of his team-mates snubbed him because of his arrogance.
City are so desperate to get rid of Nasri, who spent last season on loan at Seville, that they have cut their asking price for the 30-year-old from £21 million to £10 million."
