He looks special. And his name sake won't go on forever. De Bruyne looked knackered at times in the season as well

He was widely linked with United at the start of the week. Mustn't have fancied playing right back.

has it been confirmed that it's city he's talking to? wouldn't trust a thing goal.com ever say. l'equipe stated that he's in Manchester but no clarity on which team he's meeting with, but that city are favourites.
not necessarily sure it's a player that either city or united need, but it'll be the start of the end of that Monaco team.

He was 1/4 to go to City yesterday, and there's a twitter photo of him in Mancester airport, he apparently told a fan he was signing for City. A few other journalists on Twitter are reporting it.

I'd have thought United would definitely need a player like that Alihau

Why would he play right back? Confused

He'll be a huge step up from Navas and Nolito. Would expect City to get rid of Iheanacho too, whether it be on loan or not.

Why did Rashford play left back against Liverpool at Anfield? Mourinho works in mysterious ways.

People read far too many websites in order to find a 'transfer gossip'

Tancredi is a spoofer too. He's the one who said Aubeyang is going to China for 200 million and never happened.

I think this one seems to be true. Dozens of reports saying he's doing a medical at City, and a photo of him at MCR airport.
I think we can safely say that there are legs to this story.

Great signing for them if true. €80m on a player they don't necessarily need though. Can only imagine how much they will spend this summer on a new back 5

RB you should really wait till this is ofically offical before posting on here, because you just know the sharks will be circuling with the wiff of blood in their nostrils (or whatever sharks smell blood with) LOL, would be a very good signing if true but

Amazing for supposed top clubs how the likes of Man City left their squads age and basically crumble to bits without constant renewal and signings of quality younger players.
It's a consequence of two things.
1. Changing their manager even after they've been reasonably successful. Therefore no new manager is going to embark upon a long-term plan by completely re-building the squad he has inherited, since the chances are he will only be benefitting his successor;
2. If you give a manager bundles of money, he's going to sign players at/around their peak i.e. 26 or 28, so as to chase instant success. And those players are only going to sign on a long term contract on a huge salary, which means they'll be hard to shift even once they're long past their sell-by date.

The fact that Pep is being allowed to clear out the deadwood, plus his end-of-season comments, means that he is confident that he will be given time to build for the long term.

And the fact that most (all?) of the people behind the scenes, at all levels, are so immersed in "the Barca way" will have reassured him further.

I expect serious progress from City next season - even if they can't quite reach the dizzying heights of winning the League Cup or Europa League Wink

Agree with all of that. Mentioned it numerous times on here, the mismanagement of the bigger PL sides in the last 5/6 years has been something to behold. I don't just meant management either, chairman, boards, directors of football and management. It seems to have been a make it as you go along strategy for a lot of the clubs until recently.
