It boils my blood when people only do it for attention seeking, it's not even the Rangers jerseys that would annoy me as much, it's when Man United are playing Real Madrid or something and you see Liverpool fans wearing Real Madrid tops for argument sake!

I'll hold my hand up for that one, but that was to annoy my mates who did the same to me in 2006.

I once had a "watford -playoff champions" t-shirt made to wear to the pub to watch them beat leeds with my leeds supporting brother and his friends.

Tiz friendly banter.

This is so true. I knew one in shannon who came from a very republican family in Belfast and wore one to seek attention. Never saw him wear it again when an old lad walking past told him that he was sure his granddad would be interested to know what he was wearing.

Mate of mine had a trial with Rangers when he was younger, the players he was with asked was he from the North or the South and when he said the South they all ignored him for the few days he was there LOL funnily enough the same fella has worn Rangers jerseys and England jerseys to wind our mates up.

When I worked in temple Bar years ago, one lad (Scottish) would wear one the odd time. Bar I worked in showed old firms but didnt allow any colours. This was around the time that stags and hens took over Temple Bar. This lad was in anyway, obviously had it covered walking past me (surprised I didn't smell it though) took his top off in the bar. He got a bit of abuse but nothing major. I told him to cover up or he's have to leave that colours werent allowed. That was the spark he was looking for on this occasion and he jumps off his stool and assumed his attack stance. In fairness a few lads jumped up to back me up but it wasn't required and he hit the footpath fairly lively. Strange thing was, is that he was kind of known to us in the place and was never any trouble out of him at all and was always bang on.

I have often seen the odd one here and there, one of my good friends bought an old Rangers top and used to wear it to gaelic training just to piss me off AngryLOL

Don't think he's been subjecting to abuse by Rangers fans, I could be wrong though?
If he was playing in the Leinster Senior league would there be a thread on him?

Same standard of ball, so just wondering.

I am in full support of opening a thread for a player who has never been anywhere near the Republic of Ireland first team set-up and that plays for a new team in the third tier of Scottish football against talented butchers and bakers.

why has this not been done before????????

LOL

You should have seen Twitter and the Bears Den Forum when he first signed Embarrassed
Was reading over some Rangers forum yesterday to see what the feelings were. Obviously there were some giving abuse but a lot of people didn't really care what part of the world he was from as long as he was playing well.

Does he get booed by his own fans when he touches the ball for Rangers do you know?
