But that means he did switch sides! I have said nothing that contradicts you here. When he moved to wing-back, on the opposite side of where he was playing, regardless of where he started out, he improved. He did when a POTY gong, but at the time Wolves were in the third tier and all he looked was a decent third tier right-back.

Wrong, they were in the Championship. Iorfa was playing on the right, and hence Doherty was was shunted out to the left for about 12 months.
We're decent enough..

Apologies, they were in the Championship.

I also apologise because he has played his entire career at right back only. Not moving once. Not even when he was shunted to left back did he switch sides. No sir!

2 years at left-back at Wolves after starting at right-back. Played right-back/left-back and midfield on loan at Hibs, played centre-mid and right back for U21s. Predominantly a right back starting out, it's the 2 seasons at left back where he excelled most before flourishing at rwb under Santos. He was in and out at right-back in league 1 before that battling with Iorfa.

As wing backs on the left and right, Doherty and Stevens are creating, scoring, defending and great in the build up. Both are excelling in one of the most competitive leagues in the world.

We should be building a team around these players, we've also got centre backs that play in this formation in Clark and Egan.

But we'll play Robinson and mcclean ion the left and right instead... Shocked

Rightly so. Could Doc deliver an inspirational team talk in a Daniel o donnell style? Case closed!

I reckon he’d be worth at least €30m in today’s market. Someone with his creative ability from deep (and rarely injured/unavailable from what I see) isn’t easy to find and probably the most valuable Irish player right now. Nice little earner for ‘Bow-iz’ if it happens!

He’d be mad to move now though. Good things happening there and he seems an integral part.

Suffering weather-wise
