Hes having some season. Could have scored before that with another shot he had. Hopefully we can get the best out of him.

Doherty got into a great position though. He gets forward really well. No wonder MON why didn’t fancy him

not to pile on MON but woulda been pretty funny to hear how he would have contrived to leave doherty out in march. hes playing incredibly well and barring injury him and coleman are both 2 of the first names on the team sheet whether back 3 or doherty further forward right wing

Mick signed him for Wolves, so he will probably be aware of his youthfulness...

He made up a huge amount of ground to get in the position, started his rung from inside his own half.

My only worry with Doherty would be that he essentially has free reign to get up the field at will in the Wolves team, they put very little responsibility on him in terms of having to do anything else. He won't get that type of freedom with Ireland, so it will be interesting to see how the rest of his game measures up.

Can see it being either him at right back and Coleman at right mid or vice versa, similar to how someone put it earlier how Mick played Kelly and Finnan during 2002 campaign.

That's simply not at all true. Wolves aren't a team that completely dominate possession he still has his fair share of defending to do.

Wolves aren't a possession based team? Have you ever watched them?

I have, check the stats of there last 5 matches there, check the stats for the entire season for that matter, and you will find that they are not a team that completely dominate possession.

Define "completely dominate". Wolves are an attacking, passing team. Doherty's defensive/positional responsibilities are slim-to-none. All you have to do is look at his average heat-map to see that. His typical placement on the pitch is higher than most teams wingers....

TOS - are you saying he can't defend or just doesn't defend?
