Was as rusty as iron but was a solid 7/10 which for a player with no football under his belt is impressive. Got into some fantastic positions at times too. Defended manfully.

Don't know what Conte was playing at playing Emerson into the ground and not giving Doherty or Spence minutes. Hopefully it's the start of a run for Doc now.

Conte name checked him so was happy with him and that is a big positive.
We know what he can bring when he gets going. He is not the best in the world but he can be awkward to defend against with his timely runs. If he could just get a good few games together at spurs in a team doing well he can be impactful for spurs and ourselves.

When he's at it, he's the best player in the irish squad by a distance!

Top player, no doubt about it. 30 now so needs to be a regular for Spurs. Certainly good enough and a key player for Ireland.

Pickford spills a Doherty shot he really should've held on to, brings down Kane, Kane steps up to put Spurs in front from the penalty spot.

Conte should really tone down the celebrations after they score - it’s embarrassing

Young Matthew Doherty outstanding again tonight. Should be one of the first names on the team sheet along with the Connemara lad Kane.

Contes equivalent of the Kenny over celebration would be Spurs playing Lincoln Red Imps and playing absolutely sh*te and scoring a jammy goal to lead 1-0 and running off into the crowd giving all the fans high 5s before pulling his shirt over his head and sliding on his knees.
