I think people are forgetting the fact that he's 69 in October. Don't see him taking, or being offered, another managerial role, not at club level anyway. It'll be a DoF or international job.

If Deschamps decides to leave the French job after the WC I'd say it's a certainty that Wenger will take over

In the normal world he wouldn’t but in football he will have offers from clubs. Sure Roy and Heynckes are older and got jobs this season. At nearly 70 why would you bother doing club football again. Put the feet up. |

The PSG job would be ideal for him for a few seasons.Win a few titles and later stages of the CL would be a good way to bow out.
Maybe the French national job would excite him, they have a very good young team who should be competing in the latter stages of tournaments over the next few years.

His last press conference was a bit of a farce, at one point he said with a very self satisfied look on his face, "We've scored 73 goals this season and I'm sure we'll score more on sunday."It being his last is I presume the only reason no one responded with; you've just lost every away match this year!
He's still totally deluded. Arsenal are so well rid.

That away record this year is absolutely shocking for a club the size of Arsenal.

It’s very odd that they have the 2nd best home record and such a terrible away record.

It's probably a good thing that Huddersfield are safe otherwise there'd be an even stronger chance of not picking up points tomorrow.
The worst thing to happen for Wenger is if a new manager comes in and does really well; wins a few trophies, and challenges for the title (unlikely, or even more unlikely, manages to win it) with roughly the same group of players in the way Conte did after Mourinho. That will really be the final nail in Wenger's reign.

16th in the away league table for the season Dave? To not even get a draw in an away league game this calendar year is remarkable.

Yeah, 16th in the away table for the season, per livescore.com
http://www.livescore.com/soccer/england/premier-league/#/table-away City are top of both, Man United are third in both. Edited by SuperDave84 - 11 May 2018 at 2:06pm |

Leeds only lost once at home in 92/93 during their title defence yet didn't have an away win the entire season. Only 3 points less than Man U at home and worst away record.

Well it wouldn't be the biggest shock in the world if they are title contenders. There's a solid base for a new coach to build on.
