United need a decent point return out of the next 4 league games against Everton/West Brom/West Ham & Southampton. 10 points should be the minimum aim.

Thought it was a bit reckless at first but clearly got the ball.

It's almost like the Scouse boom/bust cycle for United and Solksjaer. Bad loss, job under threat, then win the next few games, followed by another bad loss, and repeat. He's definitely out of his depth though. 100 games in and he still doesn't know what's the best formation or strategy for his team.

I know Arsenal have improved under Arteta but United were bullied and outfought by them yesterday, which is a very bad sign for Solksjaer.

Like last week against Chelsea he set up not to lose, his substitutions were pathetic, he took Bruno and Greenwood off when chasing a goal and leaves two defensive midfielders on. If United are to progress he really needs to be sacked.

1 point at home from 4 games is a disgrace. As much as the win against Leipzig was and excellent result, there's no doubting it was a freak result.
As much as I like him, he has to go!

Every time you look at it, it's looks worse! Terrible schoolboy defending.

Had to stop watching that match, a shambles all together! Can blame Woodward and the owners of course but there is clearly no game plan from Ole, puts players on the pitch and expects it to click, does he work on this in training? He has to go soon.

No better sight in football than Demba Ba being clean through on goal without a defender in sight

I’d slap my u9s if they defended like that.

Beyond comical.

Betfair now have Poch as 4/7 to be the next Man U manager.

Same storyline for the past 6/7 years - new manager required, new defence needed, squad rebuild required, a long term project, lots of money required, DoF needed to have a plan etc

They will easily go 10 years without a league title.

Only saw the goal this morning, thought it was the 90th minute with the whole defence gone up fo a corner LOL 12 minutes gone and that's your shape, how is that even possible?!

If they want Poch they'll have to move quick, there's a good possibility he'll be in Paris soon
Some people just deserve a slap

Think this may be the game that sees a turn against OGS. A shambolic performance, but zero ideas from him again

If I had to guess, I'd say the latter.

For it's not just that they have to solve the myriad problems facing them (a big enough job in itself), but the other teams won't stand still and wait for them while they do.

Which is why eg Liverpool went 30 years even under some decent managers like Benitez without getting there; or before that Man U themselves went 25(?) years under the likes of Atkinson or Sexton.

And all three of those were better managers than OGS.

... while both Real Madrid and Barca could be looking for a new manager soon enough.

The only thing is, rather than being a cheque-book manager who buys a team, Poch likes to build organically over the medium-to-long term.

And he'd be more likely to be given the time needed for that at OT than at those other three.

Either way, his appearance on Sky Sports as an analyst the other evening was no coincidence. Wink
