Best football I've seen United play under Mourinho. Lukaku will score a hat full this season, and as has been said repeatedly, Chelsea selling United Matic was a huge mistake

Mourinho got a bad scare today. He forgot to put the handbrake on the bus and it rolled off the pitch and nearly killed a few spectators

Very good performance, although it has to be said West Ham were pretty poor. Matic and Mkhitaryan in particular were fantastic, and it's good to see Lukaku hit the ground running. They need to make the most of the early fixtures now and build momentum

September 2014 was the last time they had a win as big, according to sky at the final whistle.

Matic bossed the midfield. Lukaku looked like the flat track bully United sorely needed last year. Mkhitaryan, Pogba and martial in his cameo were excellent. Last year that game would end 0-0. Still think United need a winger and that they won't be winning the league this year but much improved performance, countless points were dropped in games just like that last year.

Pogba is the best player in the Premier League and I fully expect him to have an excellent season.
Every player done their job today, I wasn't too fussed on the Matic signing but he looked a class act today. |

I wouldn't place a great deal of stock on today's result as a barometer for the rest of the season. WHU were depleted and starting with a significant number of new players. Notwithstanding, it does bode well for United. Also, Lukaku scoring two goals is crucially important. When I think of players like Diego Forlan and Andy Cole who struggled for goals early in their career at OT, Lukaku won't have to worry about that millstone.

Na united would have won that game last year as well I reckon, albeit they were impressive today. The games they drew last year they came up against keepers in inspired form. Joe Hart has been finished for a couple of years now |
