Yea I was a big Martial fan but he’s lost interest, wouldn’t start him again unless they are really stuck.

Big game on Sunday now. In the last few seasons under Solksjaer, before this one, United were capable of taking the odd scalp in games against the Top 4.
So far this season for whatever reason those games have descended into training sessions |

Having watched Chelsea the past few games they look a brilliantly coached side! The difference Tuchel has made has been unbelievable.

Good stuff this. I can't imagine Rangnick would have come in without assurances that he will have a big say in the direction of the club for the next two years - he turned down Chelsea on the basis that that wasn't given to him.
It is a very good squad, with one gaping deficiency in the middle (which will hopefully be addressed in January). With the right direction, it could compete quickly.

It seems to be the best option alright and hopes of Ten Hag as permanent manager
Surprisingly efficient by United

Really? They gave OGS a new 3 year contract in July (with a one year payoff), to everyones surprise. They sacked him weeks after everyone else was saying they should, without a replacement lined up. Meaning they were forced to come up with the ridiculous idea of an "Interim Manager" for six months without having already one agreed. They then seemed surprised when they couldn't get anyone to take the job unless there was the promise of another job to follow. And of course they still haven't tied down their reported first choice for the main role, Pochettino, who has made it clear after his difficulties with Leonardo at PSG that he wantts to ba a proper "manager", and not a mere "Head Coach". Do they know how he'll get on with Rangnick? Or whether he'll even take the job now? Basically they're still making it up as they go along. Meanwhile, Rangnick is likely as good a choice of Interim as they were ever going to get. But there's still no guarantee he'll turn them round completely before the summer.

Based on your comments of how things were previously handled, as I said, surprisingly efficient

Their original plan was to appoint an Interim manager for 6 months only. They didn't (ahem) manage it. And the only way this new arrangement will have been "efficient" is if (a ) Rangnick hits the ground running, and (b ) it doesn't compromise their eventual choice of permanent Head Coach/Manager. Neither of those is guaranteed. What would have been efficieint would have been getting Conte before Spurs nabbed him.

United as a club is poorly run and as you noted and as my comment stated inefficiently
Whilst the appointment of Rangnick certainly doesnt guarantee success, the appointment of someone with his business and football stature as interim, with him moving to Director of Football and hopefully a manager with a long term goal to work with being appointed in the summer is efficient Will it work out - hopefully - is it an improvement for the club in general - absolutely

Conte no thanks!
This is a very sensible and exciting appointment, comes in implements a style and then takes control of the running of the football side of things in the summer when they hopefully appoint ten Hag or Poch on a permanent basis. Majority of United fans will genuinely be excited by this, the same wouldn’t be said had Conte been appointed.

On paper an excellent appointment. Very influential coach, and also involved in the development and executive side of football which makes him a unique commodity for Man U. Leveraging their rich resources under the surface and perhaps wrangling the best out of the players available could see an upturn in fortunes.
The interim thing isn’t ideal, but it doesn’t come with the baggage that came with OGS’ appointment, when a club legend was given the job and after a good run effectively ensured the position, and was probably given as long as he was given his relationship with fans and elders at the club.

Excited or realistic. This boy wouldn’t get in the door of any of the elite clubs.

Conte has proved himself as one of Europe's best managers. But I'd agree with you he doesn't seem like the right manager for them.
