Was before then. Think it started getting pushed now by the government over there around the time of the Iraq war and the Murdoch media including Sky got heavily on board.

I lived in north of England for three years in mid-1980s and used to go to football games regularly. There was none of the sh*te we now see in November at that time, nada.
