Ridiculous rule there, but I'll also add there's another reason we come nowhere near a World Cup.

Any other team puts close to treble figures against the Italians, so sloppy

So did Italy get one red card but were at 13 men?

Yes, nonsense rule.

So Italy lost hooker number 1 to injury, then hooker number 2 to red. So scrums then had to be uncontested (hookers being the big lumps in the front of the scrums, and if one team was missing one, they'd just crush the other team each time).

So if Italy had kept 14, if there were no scrums, they'd have just brought on fast lads (as the big lads are fairly pointless for the rest of the game). So they decided that taking off a second player is the best way to really penalise them. Bring on your fast lads if you want, but you're only getting 13 of them.

There's about 3 parts of the rule that make no sense

First Irish team to win a test game in New Zealand! Great that NZ are no longer insurmountable for Ireland.

Great win. We should have had more considering all the ball we had. The all blacks are some shower though. They should have had a red card even before they eventually got one.

Great win.

Before 2016 we'd never beaten the all blacks we've now beaten them 4 times in the last 7.

4th ranked team in the world beats the 2nd ranked team in the world. It's no wonder they never amount to anything at World Cups when such victories are celebrated as some sort of miracle.

It was a historic first win on NZ soil. Wales also celebrated a historic victory in SA last weekend.

Historically, Southern Hemisphere tours have been undertaken more in hope than anything else. In fact, if you look at the record books you’ll see a number of absolute blowouts. Even the Lions shipped large defeats in that part of the world. The bulk of World Cup wins come from that hemisphere.

Yeah that was a good game. Rugby against the southern hemisphere teams tends to be a lot better on the eye, a lot more tries and attacking rugby, far less kicking.
