Who'd thought it would take a pandemic for Ashley to finally do one.
Contracts are exchanged meaning neither party can withdraw from the deal now.

Miguel Delaney put it fairly bluntly and accurately in The Independent today.

Yeah, it's a very good read (link here for anyone who hasn't seen it yet: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/newcastle-united-saudi-arabia-takeover-latest-staveley-ashley-a9468236.html). The reactions to the article show just how little of a sh*t many will give about it though.

A consortium involving Bin Salman was always going to attract protests from the HR campaigners.
Jamal Khashoggi's head is the only thing he'll see mounted in his trophy cabinet for the foreseeable future however.

It's been deleted now. What did it say? It was written by a Geordie so it's going to be something thick for sure.

Good article. The only point is I'd ignore social media, Twitter in particular, if you want to get a view on what Newcastle supporters think of the Saudis. Most Newcastle supporters i meet don't care who the new owners are and many wouldn't be too clued up on what been happening in Yemen for the last 10 years.

I'd say most Newcastle supporters think Saudi Arabia is one of them pay in eat as much as you want buffets never mind what's happening in Yemen.
