I like Newcastle but hate that Pardew ****. Only bringing this up due to the new signing yesterday but has any journalist asked him about his comments in 2006 since probably about 80% of the starting team for Newcastle now aren't English?

"I saw a headline saying Arsenal are flying the flag for Britain in the Champions League, but I had to wonder where that British involvement was when I saw the team"

Wonder if he thinks Newcastle will be flying the flag for Britain in the Europa league this year? Again have no problem with Newcastle or the fans or the players just Pardew since he is a hypocrite.
Posted that on the 24th of May and its even more relevant now. Still waiting for that question to be asked LOL.

Coloccini sent an open letter to San Lorenzo informing them of his sadness that he can't return to his home country and his family after negotiations with Newcastle.

Some extracts from the letter here.

Coloccini: "Unfortunately in life not, things don't always go as you want, often contracts are stronger than the reasons of the heart."

"I am convinced that this moment of disappointment should not be an obstacle to express my deepest gratitude to all and every one of you, for the love and support they have given me and that made me get over these past months, in every imaginable way."

"I wish to acknowledge the patience and respect for the press and the seriousness with which were conducted around this time to me and my family."

"I wish to thank San Lorenzo and it's President who from the outset and without any reservations or conditions, were interested in my personal and family situation"

Sounds like his head may well be elsewhere for the rest of the season.

Big  result  last  night, would  fancy  us  against  Anzi  now, think we are  away  in the 1st  leg, just seen  their  highlights  v Hannover, nothing  special, the difference  to the squad  after  January is  huge, we played a near  full strength team last  night but  still Ben Arfa,Tiote,Debuchy,Gouffran,Santon and Steven  Taylor  will return to the team v Southampton on Sunday!!

Krul  will have a scan on Monday,he might  be  out  for a while, Elliot  has  always done well when he  had  his  chance, still a big  loss not  having   Krul, seems  Ben Arfa  will  not  be ready  for  tomorrow  either  as  originally  expected, on the positive  side  ITV  are  finally  showing  us  in Europe now  Liverpool  are   gone!

Sammy  Ameobi  has  gone on loan to  Boro until the end of the season, good experience  for him.

I would have liked to see Shane ferguson go with him and see what he'd be like after 3 or 4 games in a row.

Sammy isn't good enough for premiership football .

This is bad news . It looked painful when it happened and I was surprised when he got back up and played the last few minutes . Big chance for Elliot to get a run of games .
