Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori is out for the rest of the season (all 9 games of it) as well, after getting injured on international duty with Argentina. Did Ronald have anything to say about that, does anyone know ??

It may take time, but have a feeling JMC will have the last laugh in the long run.

I reckon he'll be sold in the summer especially when his club manager publicly scolds him. That's inexcusable.

McCarthy has only made 12 EPL appearances this season, the last of them on 05 March, when he came on as sub on 64 mins.

When EFC sent him over, they warned the FAI he had fitness problems.

MO'N picked him to start, but he broke down in the warm-up.

Regardless of the personal relationship between the two managers, the clear conclusion must be that Koeman had been correct in his concerns and MO'N got it wrong.

You bored today Territorial? Weather is calm and not great for sea angling tbh.

Do you not think the Irish medical staff would not make a competent assessment themselves?

Never mind what the two managers say. Go by what both medical staff's think.

MON got it wrong (even though he didn't play him)

I'm sure you'd be well in the Koeman camp if he was acting the bollocks with Steven Davis.

The FAI hardly needed to be 'warned', read back through this thread, everybody knew he had fitness problems! While Koeman can be understandably a little bit peeved by the situation it is pretty clear that the player himself desperately wanted to play in the game and very nearly made it. It was a huge effort and sacrifice from a player who has previously had his commitment questioned but he is fully entitled to try and play for his country. It contrasts nicely  with the news that Harry Arter has made a miraculous recover from his calf strain.

I'm sure you'd be well in the Koeman camp if he was acting the bollocks with Steven Davis.

M'ON selected him to start and he was unable to do so.

So that whether this was on his medical staff's advice, or he had overruled them, it was clearly wrong.

That much is inescapable.

Which vindicates Koeman's point.

(Oh and Davis's manager is Claude Puel)

And he didn't start him btw. Your conjecture is irrelevant and I say again you wouldn't be as forthright if it was done to Davis or Evans.

O'Neill stated himself he couldn't risk McCarthy when he pulled up so how was he in the wrong?

Obviously it sickens your hole that a man who captained your team and who you previously had great time for is doing excellent for our team and country so you'll just have to suck it up baby

O'Neill has to go.  He has behaved like a little brat this week and caused a player to fall out of favour of his club manager.  On top of that he has caused him injury.

Lets get this dinosaur out of football in this country.
