Was excellent for our goal v Wales in Cardiff too, pressed hard and won the ball, kept it in play, beat a player or 2 before picking out McClean in the box. Theres always been a good player in Hendrick, theres no question he has ability, but you just never know what you'll get from him on the day.

Unless he is being picked by his successive managers as some kind of act of charity he clearly brings something to the teams he plays for. He is an average player, who always turns up to play for Ireland, because he loves to play for his country. A lot to be said for that when you consider some of our more celebrated players who regarded playing for Ireland to be a chore at best.

Did he not keep it in play for Arter, who then set up McClean?

Kept it in play, played in the cross which Arter stepped over, and McClean finished. For a "rubbish" player, he's had an awful lot of important moments for us.

Jeff was always a good player but too inconsistent. It seems in the last year or two he's gone down in form a little but to say he was never good is just wrong.

There's only one donkey here and it's not Hendrick. For such a sh*te player that does nothing he had Sean Dyche fooled into playing him 100+ times for a grafter Burnley side.

Well that is his one attribute he does excel at to be fair, managing to get himself on the pitch in matches. Its just contributing anything when he is there, or even making you notice his actual presence that he lacks in. He'll turn up maybe one game in six and put a performance in and then be totally anonymous for the remainder of games, be it for club and country. There's a lot of sh*te players who have mysteriously managed to get regular play time over the years in the Premier league, Hendrick is just the most notable example for the last few years. If only he possessed his agent's ability to perform and deliver!

Probably a safe assumption that a Champions League club backed by an oil state wouldnt be playing a player the wrong side of 30, who just got relegated to League 1.

I'm surprised anyone even bothered asking. I'm predicting a season long loan at either Stoke or Preston for Jazzy J.

I would not rule out Sean Dyche picking him up for Everton.

Big mistake...Would love to see the Jazzmaster and his flowing locks line up as the Champions League music blares out. He was BORN for that stage

His luscious locks and belting out the anthem away to PSG is something that I am overly enthused about.

Bronze, and Number 6, I feel your pain. I too am bald as a coot, and look with envy on Jeff's lionesque mane.

Hope he gets a good loan (or Newcastle pay him off). We are not so blessed with options in midfield that we can afford to jettison Jeff just yet. He's a fit lad and he'll do a decent job for a Championship team.
