No point remaining at Newcastle if he can’t be assured of even a place on the bench. Hopefully get his works and between him an Connolly they clock up a decent few miles before March.

Probably best for him to move. Middlesbrough are decent and he will have to earn his place, but he had no real chance of featuring for Newcastle so best to move on.
We are fast running out of Premier League players, but Hendrick and Connolly were rarely playing anyway so better that they drop down for now at least.

Good move. The chanpionship is a good competitive level and his recent Ireland performances has meant I am much more positive about Hendrick than I once was. So if he manages to impress his way into the boro 11 and plays regularly this is great for us.

He must have been awful in training because it doesn't seem like he was given that much of a chance under Howe, which given how poor the team had played in the first half of the season is a bit surprising.
Hopefully he gets a decent run of games and can maintain his form for us.

Hendrick is a fantastic trainer and is seriously dedicated to his craft. He always plays for us and completes 90 minutes, irrespective of club circumstances, without ever flagging. Whatever their beef with him, I doubt it has anything to do with the way he applies himself. Serious case of buyer's remorse exacerbated by being nouveau riche.

Yaya Toure I believe had a right moan when Man City didn't wish him a happy birthday probably due to that (think he even put in a transfer request )

I've no doubt about the fact that he keeps himself in decent shape. I just found it odd he was never really given a chance, especially in a team that was so poor during the first half of the season.
