Read that during the trouble at West Ham yesterday, the Burnley team let some young lads use seats allocated to their subs to get them away from the trouble. Jeff gave one of the young lads a pair of boots. Great gesture.

Why would he do that? Presumably the boots are far too big for the young lad.

I’d feel better about this if he wasn’t in absolute pig spunk form right now

Surprising he's managed to maintain his place in a high-flying Burnley side if he's in "pig spunk form".

It's actually true, but the general consensus among Burnley fans that he's a good player just very inconsistent. I also think Irish fans unfairly use him as a scapegoat considering every game except 1 he played last campaign he was used in an unfamiliar position, the 1 where he was used in his natural role he assisted the winner in Cardiff. I think he's a classy player if he's allowed to roam forward, it's defensively he's not good at, he'll disappear totally from the game which actually may tie in to why Dyche starts him and subs him alot.

This is actually very interesting from Sean Dyche on what Hendrick’s role is at Burnley:
http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/15994265.Sean_Dyche_backs_Jeff_Hendrick_to_be_a_success_as_Burnley_s_number_10/ Fair play to him for stepping up yesterday |

You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995" |

I'm not sure how interesting the article is, the comments underneath are an absolutely fascinating insight though.

I was just about to come back to the thread to mention this.45 comments. Maybe 5 from Burnley fans saying Jeff is lost/not good enough to play that role. About 40 are Blackburn and Burnley fans calling each other nonces and 'Peados'.

The Lancashire Telegraph is a Blackburn paper. Nurnley fans don't comment in it too much.

Analysing Hendrick's role for Burnley; what does he actually do? Well he is apparently good at getting in position for the second balls when Burnley hit long aerials into their strikers.

Has dropped out of the burnley team in recent weeks as they've opted to go with 2 up front.
