Be foolish to call the games off! Already a congested fixture list.

Should Klopp just stick Arnold in midfield, he spends most of the game there anyway and put a more defensive right back in.
It would damage this forums' reputation

Trent isn't a midfielder though. He wouldn't fit in to playing as one of a 3.

He needs to cut out the laziness! he’s been found wanting on many occasions over the past couple of years.

He's good enough to be converted he is a great passer, excellent fitness and can tackle the odd time.

Philip Lahm wasn't a midfielder either

Diaz out for the new year. Salah completely off form. Pool are f**ked. Fingers crossed after the world cup can get form back and go on a run to get top 4. At the moment it is unlikely to happen

Would a change of formation help. Have they ever played 3-5-2?

Crazy decision imo.
I heard if Rashford squared the ball and someone else scored (the disallowed 3rd) it would’ve been fine, but because he scored from an unintentional handball it’s against the rules

Heard them trying to explain on MOTD 2 that it was because his arm wasn't extended away from his body, as say Dan Burn's was.

Mad decision, couldn't have been a more obvious peno to give IMO.

The West Ham goals being allowed to stand were astonishing

The West Ham penalty was a joke too!

Premier league full of brutal and inconsistent referee’s.

This.

And it shows up the fundamental flaw with VAR, namely that it is meant to introduce certainty into officiating.

Which is fine if you're talking eg offside, in that the computer can draw a line and tell you whether the attacker has crossed it etc. (Though it still doesn't cover eg "actively involved", but that's another matter).

But the whole point of handball is that it is cheating i.e. someone intentionally using his hand/arm to gain an unfair advantage. And no computer can determine what's going on in a player's mind in the heat of the moment i.e. did he mean to control it, or could he not get his hand out of the way in time.

Which is why they're currently tying themselves in knots to come up with an objective test of whether the arm was in "a natural or unnatural position" etc. Which definition is plaainly inadequate.

Far better imo to let referees use their own (subjective) judgement and just accept that they may occasionally get it wrong. For at least that way, you don't have the the long, infuriating delay before VAR gets it wrong.

There wouldn't be much wrong with VAR if the refs consistently applied the correct rules

Apart from the fact that it didn't pick up the offside for Arsenal's first goal on Sunday.

Think he is accused of saying something racist no? Which he disputes.
