Can see why Southgate doesn’t start him

Horrific. Players too old, others too stale. Cant blame injuries, same players injured all the time. Squad not strenthened. City’s league at a canter.

Liverpool could struggle to finish top 4 unless they bring in some new players. Definately need a midfielder.

PS bet put on prior to team release. Maguire and Shaw out - different story.
I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.

Thiago, Jones, Jota, Keita, Matip, Konate could be back within 2 weeks and Nunez will be available on Saturday week.

Any chance of reclaiming your beloved Stevie G? Maybe slot him into the merch shop or chief polisher in Bill's boot room? Can't manage and has the charisma of halitosis.

Gerrard was always in trouble once Beale left for QPR. He was the man behind everything at both Rangers and Villa.

Still stunned his time at Rangers was considered good enough to land the Villa job. He won one trophy out of ten and even then it was because Neil Lennon had an absolute meltdown.

He would be nowhere near ready for the Liverpool gig anyway. He is not very likeable in interviews. I can't imagine he is much better around the training ground especially with how he has handled certain situations like Mings captaincy and also blaming the players in interviews for bad performances. It only ever really goes one way when you see managers under pressure and they blame the players ("well he says, that's on me as the manager BUT"......then goes on to say players are not following what they practiced").

Most likely he is getting sacked soon

The last 16 of the Europa League and knocked out the Champions league qualifiers by Malmo the following year.

Villa beaten by Arsenal. The great Stevie G's analysis: "We didn't get the detail of our defending right".

Wrong. A 98th minute scored, despite the MINIMUM of 5 minutes added time indicated. Add on more time wasting and fake injuries by the away side during those 5 minutes, meant another 3 were added on.

It's going to be standard practice this year for a MINIMUM of 5 minutes to be added on to the 90 minutes already played. That's not even accounting for VAR reviews, time wasting, injuries. So 97 and 98 minute games are going to be often. Anyone wandering out after 85 minutes or so, is going to miss huge chunks of games. For what?

What is going on with this Liverpool team? Surely there is something very wrong behind the scenes

There are a lot of worrying signs. Running stats way down on previous years.

Midfield is old.

Salah is off the boil the past 9 months.

Been saying it to anyone that will listen that this feels like a down year where we will be fighting for top 4. We seem to peak in 2 year cycles
