I'm not sure why you would expect Liverpool supporters to be modest We've had 30 years of taking from sh*te from supporters of other teams Now we have the best team in the world and it isn't even close This team is playing football at a level that no other team has ever reached Others laughed when Jurgen Klopp was appointed They thought Liverpool suppporters were deluded Instead Klopp has proved to be a messiah figure beyond our wildest dreams and beyond others' worst nightmares It's like when Nelson Mandela was released, people wondered could he live up to their expectations The answer was yes, yes he could But football is not about healing a nation like Mandela did, football is about leaving your opponents broken and prostrate And that's the position the haters of Liverpool are in right now, broken, prostrate, bereft So we are to going to make it nice and unbearable for haters of Liverpool over the coming months as the league title cruises back to its rightful home, the home of the European and World champions, Anfield, Liverpool, Labourland (mimics ramming down another person's throat gesture) This means more |

Mentioning that specialist in failure is one of your best jokes on here this year

I've only made about six posts in the last six months The joke is on Britain Liverpool's conscience is clear Liverpool voted Corbyn and Labour When I made the choice to support my local Division 1 team, Liverpool, at six years of age, I could not have dreamt that they would dovetail so perrfectly with my adult political views f**k Man City Tories |

1) I think you’ll find that Liverpool FC was founded by a Tory
and 2) no one has contributed more to the Tory landslide than that loser Corbyn. He has ruined the Labour Party. Why do you keep mentioning him in a football discussion?

Liverpool FC was founded by a Marxist Fenian internationalist, Sean Og O'Gabhaltas
The original Kop was famously built with rubble from the 1916 Rising Manchester City once made a football team made up of scab Nottinghamshire miners guests of honour at Maine Road Anthony "Squaddies Against Corbyn" "racist monkey gesture" Burke is sadly typical of the average Manchester City supporter

Most people who think the league is over, are neutrals. Liverpool fans have seen the chart too many times over the past few years, to think the league is over yet.

I’ll worry about it when city players and manager are wearing T shirts in support of a racist

You have to love this. Are Liverpool fans still going to be pedalling 'the league isn't over line' when there's about 10 PL games left with Liverpool 30 points ahead and 50 goals better on goal difference than the team in 2nd? Oh no, what if Liverpool lost their last 10 PL games by huge margins. It's happened them before The PL title was more or less Liverpools when City decided not to sign another CB in the summer. It was confirmed as LiverpoolsPL title this season the moment Laporte suffered a long term injury. Are people actually watching this Liverpool side play this season or are they just playing repeats of Steven Gerrard's slip in a state of constant panic and anxiety?

I’ve a Liverpool fan friend who is the same. I think he just wants to make it exciting as the procession towards the title will be a bit of an anticlimax after 30 years of no title.
When city won last night he sent me a message saying “City win to keep the pressure on” Yea they’ll just be 17 behind now once Liverpool win their game in hand. Edited by Roberto Baggio - 30 Dec 2019 at 8:12am |

The league is over and Liverpool can break a lot of records.
They should get around 100 pts and could win the league by 20 pts.
They will drop points but can anybody beat them? They have Tottenham, Wolves, Everton and Man City away. I don’t see them losing at home or to any of the other away teams. |

Agree with ZZ, the league is over and it has been a very poor league this season with all the major players other than Liverpool in transition or in some kind of turmoil. Reminds me of the year Leicester won the league. Liverpool are doing what they need to do and taking advantage to their credit. There seems to be an acceptance across the board that this is Liverpools year and everyone is buying into it, hence such an underwhelming season, not that Liverpool fans will give a toss.

Well done for proving the point made. Can't argue with that. As for City, one injury should not derail an entire season. It's a team sport. One injury should be an opportunity for someone else to step up and make their mark with minimal disruption, without the whole house of cards tumbling down around them. Fabinho has been out for a month, Matip for two. Someone else just comes in and does the same job. It's not rocket science.

It will be harder in many ways to get a record points total if they have nobody on their.coat tails. If.they donit will be an even greater achievement.
Great side to watch and you wouldnt begrudge that squad of players and manager a league title.

Sane’s out for the season too
Rodri had a month out Aguero just back from a month out Silva’s been out at least a month now De Bruyne was injured too earlier in the season Been more than one injury There are many reasons as to City’s failure to mount a title challenge this season though. Liverpool have dropped two points though. Two points! And we’re in January No one was ever stopping that.
