Most Liverpool fans would have gladly taken a 3 point lead at this time, in December, let alone the start of the season, not talking shiedt about "choking".

It’s too early to be talking about choking but they are letting City back into it.
After Newcastle beat City that was a massive opportunity to pull away from them. Since then it’s 2 pts from 6.

They have a lot of games coming up so need to turn it around quickly.

I'm not so sure we are choking but we have not beem firing on all cylinders anyway. We were still sneaking wins but in the last 2 games we haven't managed it.

City look the better side in general, but those 3 defeats against Newcastle, Leicester and Palace are almost unexplainable how their standard dropped that much.

Liverpool's only hope is if city continue to have freak bad performances and Liverpool need to get bit of form together, otherwise we could really drop off

If you look back before the new year most of the games Liverpool were winning by 2 clear goals or more.  Since then the wins they have got are by a mere goal and the performances have declined.  Klopp is too excitable and his demeanour under the pressure will be a weakness.

The big question for me is can they do the big double. I think they'll go very close. If you asked me to stick a bet on at value, I'd think they can get it done.

Two bad performances but have still picked up a point in both against teams who have taken points off other title contenders. It's hardly choking if they're still 3 points clear and have only lost one game all season but they definitely need to improve and quick. Every team will have a bad patch and this is ours it seems. Just cant let it drag on much longer so need 3 points at the weekend v Bournemouth

A load of injuries at the minute which isn't helping but what concerned me most last night was the body language of some of the players. Were playing like a team who were midtable with nothing to play for at times which is crazy given the position they're in.

Hopefully can turn it around quick and get back in form as its hard to see City dropping many more points

All over, City's title.
And forget Spurs aswell although they will finish second but at least 6 points behind the Champions.
Pool third.

Only Mane has turned up for the last two games.

Question worth asking is would they have gladly taken it after Newcastle beat Man City recently?

Liverpools league results are incredible. Yet people want to believe that they won't win the title, even though absolutely everything points to them getting it done.

Ehhh......

There hasn't been a single point this season where I've said that it's impossible for City to win the league afaik. I've given my opinion that they won't win it, as I believe Liverpool have the ability to keep grinding out results that City don't have this season. I've most definitely said countless times that it was impossible for the likes of Arsenal or United to win the league which it has been all along. I don't think I've said once that it's impossible for City to win it, again feel free to correct me if I have done.

What I have been saying is the overreaction to bad results Liverpool get are comically over the top. While City can experience some terrible losses and it seems to be a case of 'its still just a matter of how many points City win it by'. Nothing at all, all season long, has pointed to City winning a comfortable title. They are less consistent, losing 4 games already, and are now chasing Liverpool and hanging on by the skin of their teeth.

Liverpool are 3 points ahead with 13 games to go. You would swear the way people go on that Liverpool were now 10 plus points off the top of the table. It is hilarious and farcical in equal measures to watch.

Liverpool are now 2nd favs for the title, again a massive overreaction. They should be somewhere between 1/2 and 1/3 imo. Who am I to judge though, I've thought they've been massively overpriced for the past 9 months to win the PL this season.

I still think it's done btw. City themselves know that giving a team a few points lead in such a shocking standard of a PL with 13 games to go is going to be a big ask to claw it back. It still is, they know it, it just seems that because it's Liverpool people lose their minds around a title run in.

Exactly like I said above , there will be a few bumps and bruises along the way for this Liverpool side along the run in. Luckily for them they had blown away the PL in the first half of the season, so they somehow managed to get a decent lead going into the second half of the season.

Again though, I'd love to know where I said it was ever impossible for City to win the PL?

Because I've said that a Liverpool team on top of the table, 3 points clear with 13 games to go will win the league? Because I've said since last summer that I believe that this Liverpool team will win the league? Because I've said since last summer that the best 3 sides in the PL are Liverpool City and Spurs, and injuries etc aside these should be the top 3 this season? Because I said that I expected there to be little between Liverpool and City come May, but I expect Liverpool to win the PL title.

It's a funny one really. If anyone was coming on here calling others thinks, you'd think they'd aim for the people speaking about Liverpool as if they are have a meltdown of a season and not one where they are 3 points ahead with just 13 games to play, having lost just 1 game all season.

Liverpool are now boring as f**k as a football team at times. They will keep grinding, keep chugging away getting points (in the past 2 games where they've imploded according to most they've lost a 1 point advantage to City). Eventually Liverpool will hit another 7/8 game run where their form is really good and it carry them to the title.

If none of the above hasn't happened, or doesn't happen in future, feel free to come back and call me a thick then. As it stands though, what exactly is your reasoning behind such a comment?

I cannot really see this happening.
The body language, application, hunger etc is not there.

VVD looks a nervous wreck at the moment and a month ago he was der Kaiser re-incarnated.

The decision making all over the pitch in the last two games was horrific.

How many times last night was the ball played up to a player in the #9 position and instead of turning or passing sideways it was passed backwards. Once it actually went all the way back to the keeper.

Klopp is not bottling it, he is actually over-achieving with these players.

Id drop Firmino and put Salah back on the wing.

Allisson hasn't looked as assured in the last few games as he did a few months ago either.
Who would you play up front then if Salah goes back to the wing and Firmino is dropped SD?
If I was Klopp i'd revert back to the front 3 in the positions they played last season.
