Shaqiri. Great bit of business.
Had been thinking he'd be a great addition to the squad so was happy to see us get linked to him, even happier now it's done.

I see there is some good news on Sean Cox as he has regained consciousness.

Shaqiri is a really good signing for Liverpool, no major risk for £14million or so. Shrewd business done so far by Klopp, still reckon they'll need 2 or 3 more players and a new keeper is a must.

Decent signing in Shaqiri, average player that won't improve the team but low cost
Has Allison signed? Can't be any excuses for not competing for the league or no silverwear this season. Surely must be sacked if it's another failure of a season like the last few

Liverpool could well be glad of him now that the Ox is out for the season having damaged every ligament in his knee. Shaqiri has talent alright, it's getting the most out of it consistently that has tended to be an issue but if anyone can, Klopp surely can. After all, look at the progress Ox was making during the 2nd half of last season until that injury.

This talk about improving the team when a club sign a player these days is silly. Its a squad game more than ever.
Mahrez and Shaqiri for example we've heard recently won't improve their new teams. What nonsense. |

Shaqiri is a class player when managers can get the best out of him. He certainly showed it at times in Russia.

I suppose it's a question of whether shaqiri will fit the mould of player that klopp likes? if he can play in the high-octane tactics, then it'll be a bargain signing. has he shown that side of him at inter/Bayern/basel/stoke? don't really think sothe reason the ox was able to fit in and show better form towards the end of the season is because he fits that type of player that klopp wants. when fit, he is someone that has a high level of fitness
don't really know about the keeper. but I've heard it's €10m for every goal he let in vs pool last season

Last season with Stoke was the first time he had a consistent season, and they got relegated, no fault of his. Only ever saw the highlights of some games, but he always seemed to be making chances in them. A very good signing

I suppose if Alisson has any sort of similiar impact in the way De Gea has at United, as crazy as it sounds it'll probably end up being good business! That's modern football in a nutshell Still if you were a Liverpool supporter, you just couldn't have any real belief that Liverpool could challenge for the title with Karius in goal. |

Took DDG a few seasons to settle at United, i don't think Liverpool have that luxury. At least Klopp is trying to correct the obviously weaknesses in the team. Alisson will be under serious scrutiny, any mistakes and the pressure mounts up immensely.

I had forgotten that Liverpool had signed Fabinho
Have to say, their summer transfer window has been excellent so far, strengthened the areas that needed strengthened and got them in early. Klopp says that's it for them in terms of new signings. They'll be title challengers next season
