It wouldn't be a surprise in the wake of the Fenway statement that Coutinho does try and force the issue with a transfer request. Contracts mean very little these days if a player wants to leave

An unhappy player can ruin the dressing room.

It's a short career so I'm sure he wants to play for Barcelona.
Liverpool just have to take the best offer they believe they can get.

The narrative the whole summer from those journos on the local beat in Liverpool is that he would be happy to move to Barcelona if both clubs came to a deal but he wasn't going to force it as he still felt he owed some loyalty to Liverpool. It's obviously possible that he changes his mind or has people advising him to change his mind.

Wouldn't believe it if it came from Sky, they will try and generate a bit of interest for skybet purposes and cover it up as "sky sources".

If it was July 1st it might be a different story but there is no way we would be able to replace him.

Any club we are trying to buy from will be looking for mental money, e.g. van dijk becomes a 70m player!
