In fairness, I have the same problem on Facebook....Liverpool fans who celebrate every win like they are winning a trophy and who lambaste everybody but their manager or players when they are beaten... I think a book could be written on Liverpool fans on Facebook..genuinely! You could take out quotes and put them in a book and it would be hilarious. Liverpool fans' problem is, they set their bar waaay too high. They are constantly disappointed in December when they are out of the title race because a lot of them genuinely believe they are title contenders in August. Some of them think they are an 80-point team; they are a 60-point team...that's their standard. A lot of LFC fans just aren't in touch with the reality of that. |

If I keep writing enough hagiographic articles on Man Utd, they might give me a job

Sure its the truth , they were losing Kennys getting blammed and comments of Liverpool are sh*t are seen , 45mins later and its all rosey just because they got the victory where Gerrard got man of the match .... A squad filled with average players bar the few exceptions , funny how expectations are still very high for a club that's really no better than 6th in the EPL in terms of quality

Like i said the majority of them were saying how sh*te Liverpool were when they went one down/drawing , as soon as they take the lead its all rosey and suddenly their brilliant again... If a win over Newcastle is something to gloat about good for them Wont cover up the fact they'll be in the europa league next season...

Lads could say the same about every set of fans. United, Arsenal, Chelsea fans do the same. We could all write a book on what ridiculous quotes other fans come out with.

One thing was proved tonight, Liverpool are once again a one man team, Carroll actually looked like a threat when super Steve came on.

I support Celtic and Sunderland so i'm hardly a success hunter.... In Man uniteds defense their fans can gloat because they actually are a big club who deliever trophy after trophy , Liverpool fans are living in the past bar the CL in 2005 they've won sweet f**k all of importance bar their miracle run in 2001....The fact is Liverpool are a big club support and history wise , being a realist right now Liverpool have a squad border line average and wont challenge for the title any time soon... Deluded supporters living off past glory , win a f**king league and then gloat!! Even as of now Spurs have over taking Liverpool in terms of quality on the pitch....

United Fans seem to know more about other teams after they suffer a defeat. Things swing in roundabouts . United loose Liverpool rub salt into anything and vice versa. Same with any team. United and Liverpool are the two biggest supported clubs over here and the "Banter" is based on these clubs. It would be based on United/City in Manchester Regions and im sure there are Plenty of Sunderland Fans on Facebook tonight over in the North East.

4th place was the minimum target nothing else. How is that deluded? It is a realistic target with the money we spent. Will we get 4th? Probably not but that is the aim. Anything can happen it's only Christmas with a lot of games still to be played. Andy's comment above is a tongue in cheek which appears lost of a lot of you. |

I think you will find that Utd fans are probably worse and fans who support other clubs also have the same problem. If fans don't like a particular manager they would use their clubs recent loss as a tool to lambaste the manager. This should be fairly obvious on this forum. |
