It's a very good signing. His ability to cover ground will benefit TAA more than anyone.

Liverpool probably still need another CB for more depth, but now have a strong XI for the season ahead.

Those 4 you mentioned get talked up all the time as the best young midfielders, Caicedo never gets mentioned along side those players and shouldn’t just because of an inflated transfer price.

Because he's playing for Brighton.

If anyone watched Brighton regularly last season, they'd see how good he is. Their buildup up play from the back was as good as City's, if not better. He was dominant in several big games. Brighton did the double over United and outplayed them in The FA Cup. He was brilliant in all 3 games.

Mac Allister, Groß and Caicedo were all outstanding last season.

He possesses all of the attributes to become a top midfielder.

Vast majority of players are on huge contracts to be fair.

Fabinho was on 180k pw
Henderson on 140k pw

Hardly eye watering salaries from an EPL perspective.

This is the impact of the Saudi money.  Liverpool got two huge earners off their wage bill and got 50m plus for the pair of them.  Left a hole burning in their pocket.

Outrageous fee.

I was looking to see what Brighton paid for him but couldn't find it.

Thought that was in dollars when I seen it on twitter! They’ve overpaid by about £50m there.

Transfer fees becoming more mad than ever this summer
Rice, Caicedo and Pacqueta could all be sold for over £100m in this window

Spurs signed a Dutch defender the other day, 23 year old never been capped - £45m

City can now win the league without anybody else's help, that's the significance of that late goal for Liverpool.

Luxembourg.

Liverpool, despite the shambolic opening 25/30 minutes, should have won. Arsenal definitely got away with that one. Had a feeling Liverpool would finally bother to put in a performance after some bad results.

Arsenal’s first point at Anfield in 7 seasons.

OK Roy Smile

The first one in particular was one where if it goes in there's no blame placed on the keeper at all. Reminded me of that Bazunu save a while back that deflected off Cullen. Against Azerbaijan I think. Both outstanding saves.

Also, from an Irish point of view, Ramsdale and Kelleher both born in 1998. Ramsdale closing in on 200 senior appearances now compared to Kelleher's 20 or thereabouts.

Yeah, it should be written into every gk's contract that they must make two world class saves in every game.

At least.
