In fairness those charges likely cost them multiple titles - whereas they’ve had very limited or no impact on the likes of United. |
Both teams finished 2nd to Man City the same amount of times under the period the charges account for |
But one team are one of the greatest sides ever and another is an absolute shambles. This further adds to evidence that Liverpool continually self promote and utd continually consider what they are doing a mess unless it’s a league or a Champions league win.

How Heysel has been referenced and reference to infiltration by other supporters some of which may be true but very little ownership is ever taken by a huge amount of the support base of what happened. If the shoe was on the other foot Liverpool fans would not stand for this response and rightly so.
They have never said sorry to Everton for the impact it had on them especially. Their greatest side ever missed out on a possible European Cup.
The Suarez incident was a disgrace and Carragher has admitted that.
The constant reference to the 115 charges. No other club mentions this as much as Liverpool fans, even Utd Fans.
Even last night the lack of respect to Everton’s style from Klopp was shocking.
When it comes to Hillsbrough and Paris they were spot on to blame others and how they were treated was a disgrace esp in relation to Hillsbrough.

Great post.
This is what I was actually referring to with my post. Poor from the mods to delete it just because Borussia is a crybaby.
I have no issue with Liverpool when it comes to Hillsborough. |
You knew exactly what you were posting.
|
I didn't and I cleared that up with the mod. You're literally living up to the shameless tag right now.
Heysel is conveniently a side note compared to Hillsborough.
Fair play on making O'Shea look like a sane person in comparison. |
Somebody weaponising people's deaths at Heysel in the name of some sort of points scoring on a football really is the lowest of the low. You care nothing for those people that were killed. People like you make me sick. I'm not the shameless one here.
|
The facts are the facts. It wasn't 39 Liverpool fans who died on that day.
There's no points scoring. Liverpool suffered one tragedy, but also contributed to another. Fact.
Then you have the shameless Suárez t-shirts incident.
They also wrecked Liverpool city centre during the height of Covid. Title celebrations.
| This Godzilla fella is a little obsessed with Liverpool it seems. All day on Liverpool thread bringing up Heysel and if he had his way Hillsborough too. A bit sad really.
|
I simply made a post in response to Baldrick's take on Liverpool and the 115 charges, which lead to a broader discussion.
What's sad is fully grown men crying like children to moderators and not facing reality.

Mourinho finished 2nd in 2018. Ferguson finished 2nd in 2012. The 115 charges relate to 2009-2018.

It's been awful. They had a spell where they were winning game after game despite injuries, but it's all unravelled.
United beating them in The FA Cup did something to them mentally. They battered United in the league game at Old Trafford a few weeks later, but could only manage to draw the game. I think winning that game would have given them momentum.
Nobody could have predicted Atalanta beating them 3-0 at Anfield. They deserved it too. They could have scored more goals on the night. Then they put in a professional performance at home when others could have bottled after conceding an early penalty.
Klopp obviously did a very good job at Liverpool. But just one PL title and losing 3 out of 4 European finals will be things he regrets. |
We all the the main reason why he didn't win more than one. Or should I say the 115 reasons |
See you in court. |
Not a fan of either club but it’s amazing the difference between how Liverpool react to lack of league success and how
Man Utd do. Liverpool always blame some external factor, in this case Man City and alleged sports washing. You very rarely hear utd fans do this, it’s nearly always an internal issue and blaming the club and themselves.
There is something in the culture of the Liverpool fan base that always has to blame outside bodies or Organisations. They have been 100% spot on when it comes to things like Hillsbrough and how they were treated there was a disgrace.
It really is interesting that they very rarely turn on their own whereas Utd do it all the time. |
Care to elaborate on this with examples? |
|
You'll notice I said "examples" - Plural. Anybody can pick out one example of anything but if something is "in a culture" there should be far more than one example. One example proves nothing.

Still a season of over-achievement relative to expectation. | There can't be many Liverpool fans that would look at this season as an over-achievement? |
Most would - Considering how last season ended and the rebuild of the midfield I think most people's hope for this season would be to get back into the CL and hopefully pick up a trophy along the way. To still be in a title race with 6 games to go would have been beyond most fans expectations. |
I see your point as far as expectations at the beginning of the season, but at this stage and in hindsight, it must be a disappointing end of the season given the results over the past weeks? I think quite a lot still expected them to be up there challenging City for the league. If I was a Liverpool fan I think I'd be quite deflated with how this season has ended(granted things could change in the league, but unlikely).
