White bread in the quantities I put it away would not constitute a stable diet!

I put on a heap of weight when I eat too much bread.

How much would you eat?

I see a lot of Europeans eating huge amount of bread - although their bread is not filled with sugar and adjectives.

Same with Indians and they eat a lot of Noun Bread.

Too much. I can't have it in the house. I'd demolish a loaf easily in a day.

I make porridge bread and I'd have that most days. Really easy and really nice!

I launched Operation Tubbo in early January as I'm 5-6 stones overweight. This is my 5th week and the first stone is nearly lost. In terms of the exercise, all I use is my exercise bike Mon - Fri. I use a phone app that gives me a 30 minute programme that is effectively 2 × 15 mins of normal pace - sprint - normal pace - sprint. When I started out, the bike clocked me at having done about 13.5km in the 30 mins. Now I get to about 15km in the same time. What I'm saying in a roundabout way is that it appears to be a fairly effective way of losing a bit of weight, and if you stick to it, it should pay off.

In my own case, I've also drastically cut down on wine and beer. I like a drink at the weekend though, but as I like whiskey I can have a few glasses with ice as there's no sugar and very little weight gaining properties in it. I haven't changed what I eat at all except for changing over to brown bread. Anyway, good luck with it, and if you want the name of the app let me know. I'd recommend it as apart from anything else it really helps with the boredom as you're just focussed on the particular time slot within the 30 minutes that you're doing at that time.

Finally, I'd like to offer a big "go f**k yourselves" to all those people that have said that you get a great natural high after exercising. That is a lie told by slim people to get the likes of me to exercise. Well, it worked. I hope you're happy with yourselves

Cheers. It's just called Exercise Bike Workout. It has a red background with a white drawing of a lad on a bike. Just get the right level of resistance on the bike itself and away you go. I went for a middle gear on mine if that helps. Anyway, good luck with it. You'll work up a good sweat in that half hour

Starting from scratch today. Weighed myself. Have some work to do.

Intermittent fasting and good eating. Some weights and plenty of walking.
