Fair enough, I counted Cyrus giving the ball away 7 times when he came on! Gary Rowett dropped him for a reason! He is a league 2 full back at best.

Maybe its because he came on when wales went down to 10 and decided they were gonna put 10 men behind the ball and hold out for the draw, which allowed christie to get forward more than coleman. The only positive I saw from christie was his throw ins, he looks like an athlete that was turned into a soccer player. 

A terrible game with only a few lads doing themselves justice and surprise surprise they are the players that everybody likes to knock on here

Its a historic thing with Ward. There is a major difference between the Ward we see today, and the Ward we saw in 2012-2013. He was a man who suffered successive relegations, and was deemed surplus to requirements by Kenny Jackett. He lost his place in the Irish team, and even seemed to be on the way out of the consciousness of managements. His time at Brighton re-calibrated him, and he has taken up the baton since joining Burnley, and has held down their left back slot on merit.

I though he was reliable, and defensively sound in the tackle last night, and I think due to McClean's propensity to get caught up in the middle, he was also charged with marking Gunter alongside his other defensive duties. He was reliable and dependable, and has been since he won his place back in the Irish team.

Ward seemed lost at Euro 2012, and that has made fans wary of him, however, he is a different player today, a consistent PL left back, who has done very well in recent times.

On the whole is you look at the stats how goals did our defence concede , yer that kind of tells it's own story really, still everyone sees something different .
