There was a conquest ethic in the past and everyone is guilty up to their elbows.

Conquest was implemented by the Romans, persians, ottoman, Zulu, mongols etc etc.

The British were just 'better' at it than everyone else.

That's the lovely sort or apologist attitude that would win you lots of friends at an EDL rally.

I will take a bad game from McClean because the guy has attitude and tenacity. First name in the team for me alongside Randolph, Coleman, Duffy and James McCarthy (when ready). I would play Doherty in the center mid role as Liam Brady suggested before.

First name after those 4 so that would be 5th name!

This is hardly his first bad game. He is poor more often than not. Even the cross for McGoldrick hit the first defender!
It's not me it's you:-)

Doherty played midfield for u21s on more than one occasion and impressed, even scored a few goals

He wouldn't set me free,
So he kept me soul for ransom.

I've seen this point brought up by National Front/Britain First types on Twitter but don't really get it. There's not much correlation between refusing to wear a symbol which honours those who slaughtered unarmed civilians in your home town and earning a living in the UK.

He has a great attitude and always gives 100%. However, he is just not good enough anymore to play international football. An impact sub, if at all.  As a bonus, that brain dead song goes too.
