He's a Premiership quality goalkeeper. It's been taken for granted how reliable and talented he's been for us

I think his time at West Ham showed that he is not. Too prone to the occasional error to be considered truly a top level keeper.

He's generally done well for us though and that's what matters.

Given Mick's decision to exclude Westwood, we're in a bit of trouble if anything happens to Randolph now.

Asked the question on Twitter if Randolph's penalty save from Rodriguez was the first Irish penalty save since Shay Given away to Cyprus in October 2005 (I think from Ioannis Okkas).  Anyone remember any other penalty saves outside of the obvious one in 1990?  Must be forgetting some more recent ones, maybe from some meaningless friendlies.

I'm almost certain Macedonia missed a penalty against us in Skopje in 2011.

Correct - although it wasn't saved:

"He doubled his tally for the evening after 37 minutes with a neat finish, and although there was a major scare for the Irish when Ivan Trickovski smashed a penalty against the crossbar three minutes later, Keane's contribution proved decisive."

Injured

He suffered a Testicular rupture which happened in the warm up when his testicle received a forceful direct kick resulting in the testicle being crushed against his pubic bone and causing blood to leak into the scrotum.

"The keeper is said to have suffered a muscle injury in training earlier this week. It's not clear at this stage how long he'll be out of action."

Hopefully he'll not be out too long.

Hopefully he recovers in time for Denmark. Westwood hasn't played last 2 games for SW either, nor on bench, dunno what story is there, presume he is injured as well.

Picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.....

Could be out of Denmark game according to Woodgate.

That'll either mean Travers starting or a recall & start for Westwood.

Westwood isn't playing either. Massive worry if he's not fit
