Mixed the good with the bad, hardly shocking. Has had some good pieces of play and some poor. He does still look at bit cautious when going into contact, which is understandable. The Richie miss had nothing to do with him, he made a good interception and it was Taylor's unbelievably slow reaction to that which caused the problem.

Lads calling for him to be a number 10, Keith Andrews being one. I really like KA but really surprised he said that. I know we are lacking at the minute but he just doesn't do enough for me. Even his set pieces have gone way back.

Needs to seriously get the finger out and start producing. Living off his goal in Lille.

Should only ever play left wing. Thought he may have potential to develop into a 10 once upon a time but can't see it now.

To get the best out of him, I think he needs to be allowed come inside off the wing in a free role, rather than being a traditional left winger. Doesn't have the pace required to be as effective there. Then again, that would require us to play something resembling a actual passing game.

Irish fans really are up there with the worst for running down their best players He's clearly still lacking some power in his legs (he underhit a few passes/clearances); and he's a bit cautious going into contact still; but both of those things are understandable after only a handful of games back from a serious injury. If we were being in any way reasonable about it we'd focus on the many good aspects of his performance - he showed some lovely touches, was involved in some of Burnley's best bits of play, he doesn't seem to have lost any pace, and he's looking very fit for a guy who's only just returned after a year out. It was a 6/10 performance, he was far from faultless, but he also had plenty of good moments.

Brady will get back playing well. Can’t say the same for most of our players, but Brady has actual ability. Before his injury he was in great form for Burnley

Once Mick plays him left-wing he will do well foe us again. He can't be shoehorned into other positions to keep McClean in the team. It is a choice between the two and Brady is the superior player, by some distance. In saying that, it was good to see McClean had a good game on Saturday.

I agree.
McClean would be a lot more useful coming off the bench to run at a tired full back.
