This time last year we were finished our league - and we are only getting started.

My son has played 3 league games this year. 1 in the 1st week of Sept - the second game 1st week of Dec and then last Sunday.

Absolute shambles.

I thought you were talking about 2024 but 3 games all season is a joke.

That’s mad our under 10s have probably played about 16 games in total 9 games since Christmas.

Not just Dublin either. Most matches called off for months now. So much rain in the ground a dry day doesn't even wash it away.

The standard of pitches in Dublin in many instances isn't great or they are very quick to call them off. My team in Donegal have 21/22 of our league matches played this season. Only a handful of matches called off in the league with weather all season and we've had as sh*tty a winter/spring as ye. Team I played with in Dublin have just 13 played, some teams in their division with ten or eleven...I suppose a lot of them would be public pitches and they get called off with any dribble of rain

April is the worst month of the year weatherwise in Ire/UK as it looks outside like it should be summer, but the reality is its absolutely freezing. Makes the longer evenings depressing when it's light outside,  but still baltic.

Have had all four seasons of weather in two hours where I am.
I will be in the bar
With my head on the bar
I am now a central part
Of your mind's landscape
Whether you care or do not
