Very sad news. He was absolutely flying in his first race in Sweden and would have only been 6 or 7 seconds down on Tänak if team orders didn't ask him to take a 10 second penalty to try and allow his full time teammate Neuville take 2nd place ahead of him. Neuville f**ked up and Breen kept 2nd despite not being flat out on the final stage. Tänak doesn't say much in any of his media interviews but he finished his tweet with "I miss you buddy so bad, so so bad"

The build up to last nights race was very cringy. Also very American with the driver announcements by LL Cool J.
For the race it just seemed too easy for Max even starting from 9th.

Boring race. Gap too big between Red Bull and the rest.

It will be 3 years before anyone catches Red Bull unless the regulations change before the new engine regulations. When aerodynamic grip has been the most important factor, Adrian Newey has almost never been beaten.

More of the same if not much worse. Vegas is trying to remarking itself as a sporting capital all of a sudden with the NFL, NHL, and soon the MLB rolling into town. It'll be at least a decade before anyone thinks of the city as anything other than a gambling mecca. The circuit itself looks terrible, tailor made for Red Bull to open up on the long straight. |

That'll be Sainz gone from Ferrari then. Wonder where he goes. Mercedes perhaps although can't see Russell being happy to play 2nd fiddle again unless Russell moves on as well. But then question there would be where

Well Leclerc only just signed on for another 5 years top so would have to be Sainz....unless getting Hamilton over the line forces a rethink.
Not sure whether Russell or Sainz are a big enough player for the main driver for Mercedes. Surprised they didn't go all out to prize away Lando. Might trigger a merry-go-round this!

Does anyone watch this anymore. Absolute borefest compared to the 90s. I'd rather re-watch the old ones that watch a modern one.

You mean the 90s when Schumacher was winning all the time?
Maybe Perez might be gone from Red Bull and Sainz might go there. Can't think of a time when a driver has left a team for the following year before the current year has even started, usually towards the middle or end. The misses got me a trip to the Monza GP for my 40th.

All this stuff with Christian Horner seems a bit strange.
Nothing has fully come out, a part from him being controlling. He's the team principle. He's in charge so why shouldn't he be?. It's got Red Bull to be pretty successful. Isn't Pep supposed to be controlling as well? But it seems like this story is overshadowing the start of the season for RB.

New CEO of Red Bull Parent Company doesn't like him apparently. So theory seems to be he's trying to force him out.
