Will be a money spinner for Rovers but it's likely to be a Celtic C team. Still at least an LOI team will benefit financially unlike the other 'ahem' glamour friendlies being played in Dublin this summer

Celtic will be playing a champs lge qualifier a few days later so will likely bring a first team to Dublin to get minutes

Strange one alright. Fair play to Hayes etc but he is hardly going to improve massively at this stage and he won't have any sell on value. There must be better options.

Hayes is supposedly on around 2.5k a week, he is obviously going to get more than that at Celtic or Cardiff. I would honestly rather have Mikey Johnston as back up.
To make it worse there is talk of Ryan Christie going the other way, someone who I think is a better payer than Hayes.

I like Hayes and admire him, but he's at PL level now for what, 8 years or so, so why is he suddenly now Celtic standard?  While Brendan has completely revolutionised Armstrong, Forrest and Boyata and found a spot and kept Rogic free from injury, I just don't see how Hayes is gonna get a start in the team that has just won everything.   I'd sooner get a talent like Christie back than go for Hayes, but how and ever........Brendan hasn't really made a mistake in 12 months apart from the Red Imps embarrassment last July.

And Barcelona, but yeah, if he wants him then we have to trust him.

Is Christie all that?
Rodgers had a good look at him in pre season and at the start of the campaign, he started against Lincoln Red Imps.
He only started 7 league games for Aberdeen in half a season, and the same number for Inverness last year. Had he injuries?

Im not excited about the Hayes signing, but don't buy into Christie being good enough either
