Not the Bhoys best performance of the season but good to pick up 3 points without a recognised centre forward. Cracking goal from Rogic. Another shocking ref surprise surprise!

hun refs at it again, that was one of the worst performances i have seen at CP for years
squad is threadbare up top now think we will need more than the japanese trio especially up top I'd nearly sack off this conference league if it meant winning the league this season meanwhile in the masonic derby hearts lie down and no mention of honest mistakes from dolly the sheep who apparently played for their youth team not to mention nick walsh, 5 reds against teams playing the zombies in his last 7 zombie games in 12 months he only teaches their u16 team at Boclair academy |

CELTIC striker Kyogo will face a race against time to be fit for Sundayās League Cup Final against Hibernian, but the forward should definitely be fit for the next GLASGOW DERBY according to manager Ange Postecoglou.
The striker was absent from the 1-0 win over Motherwell at Celtic Park, with David Turnbull playing in a central attacking role and Tom Rogic scoring the only goal of the afternoon. Postecoglou is unsure if Kyogo will recover in time for the game at Hampden after picking up the injury against Real Betis last Thursday night, but that he should definitely be back before the winter shutdown. When asked if Kyogo could make the cup final, Postecoglou said: āMate, I could say yes, I could say no. āIf you ask Kyogo he probably would have played today, if you ask the medical team, they would say heās out for two or three weeks. āIām kind of taking a stab in the dark in the middle somewhere, but Iāve no idea. Iāll be guided by the medical team and Kyogo. I canāt rule him out for anything at the moment, but you canāt rule him in. āI donāt know. Weāll just wait and see. Like Iāve said, itās not a significant one. āAlbian Ajeti probably wonāt be back before the break but Kyogo will definitely be back before the break. āItās just a matter of seeing how he feels.ā Postecoglou revealed after the game that he took off substitute Mikey Johnston towards the end to protect him, after a gamble taken on James Forrest backfired as he went off early in the match with an injury. āMikey is not 100 per cent,ā he said. āThatās why we didnāt start him. āWe were going to bring him on at the end if we needed him but obviously with James going off we had no choice. āI didnāt want to overburden him towards the end. Heād done enough for us. He did a great job considering heās not 100 per cent fit. It was always going to be a question of how long he could last.ā On Forrestās injury, Postecoglou said: āI spoke with him and obviously it was significant enough for him to come off which is disappointing. āAgain, he hasnāt been 100 percent but we felt today that we could get an hour out of him but it didnāt work out. āItās not a great run we are going through. Unfortunately itās in one area. Itās not as if itās spread over the team which is really challenging us. āAs I said to the players pretty much the minute I walked through the door, weāll have some kind of challenge put in front of us. When you dust it all down, weāre not in bad shape in terms of the way we are playing our football and our form in terms of results. āWeāve just got to overcome this as well.ā Meanwhile, Postecoglou and Celtic are waiting for guidance on new Covid-19 restrictions after advice to clubs was muddied somewhat by National Clinical Director Jason Leitch during an appearance on BBC Radio Scotland on Saturday. Clubs were informed by the JRG that one positive case of the new Omicron variant could result in an entire bus of players and staff being ordered to isolate for 10 days, leading Motherwell to travel to Celtic Park in their own cars. Celtic face a trip to Dingwall to face Ross County on Wednesday night, with Postecoglou unsure of how they will negotiate the journey. āWeāre just waiting on clear guidance,ā he said. āThere have been some sort of protocols put in place. āWeāve been pretty good at following the Covid guidelines, very good actually, within the club. Weāll continue to do that. āItās obviously an issue around the world, around sport and football in particular, but weāll do what weāve always done and follow the protocols, make sure weāre doing the right thing and make sure weāre organised so that it doesnāt affect us.ā Edited by tonyjaa - 13 Dec 2021 at 12:35pm |

Probably one of the more difficult draws considering what they did to Roma.

They are currently top of the Norwegian league having won their league for the last two seasons and they were unbeaten in their ECL with twelve points.
