Better off staying at Wednesday than joining our growing list of substitute keepers .....they've plenty of money and will be up around it again next season[/QUOTE]

what's to say that he'd be warming the bench at everton, Middlesbrough, west brom or hull? although he has done it before, I think since he joined Wednesday he's been in a better place psychologically and looks like he can cope with and step up to the level needed to be an EPL no.1 week-in week-out. I hope MON has sense and brings him...

He would certainly be a vast improvement on either of Everton's current two goalkeepers anyway. Would be an interesting move for him. He'd have plenty of Irish company too.

The fact he is still training with the squad bodes well for his potential selection over Forde.

Westwood has to go to the euro's over Forde he is country miles better than him.

Westwood has had a fantastic season in the Championship and had another fantastic game at the weekend in the play off final. He will be a premier league goalie soon enough.

Spot on. He is a top class keeper, better than many in the EPL.

Didn't get a run out, why does MON even bother calling him up?

Some proof that Bonner etc. didn't have the inside track on the Westwood situation perhaps?....
We're decent enough..

Randolph didnt exactly have the end to the season that he would have wished, and belied a really good season. Westwood may yet start between the sticks.

Just takes it from forde, nothing else. Randolph has been number 1 past couple of squads and continued to wear #23 but still our number 1 choice.
We are like a club team with the likes of Brady and hoolahan preferring #19 and #20 and so on

If Westwood is number 1 then it seems to me that he is number 1 choice bizarrly. Thought he would get a run out tonight if he was going to the euros. He needs to practice with the irish defence if he is to be considered since he hasnt played for us in a while.

Open to be corrected on that

That is it exactly - I would read nothing into Westwood receiving the No. 1 jersey. Randolph will almost certainly start for us with Westwood and Given both available on the bench.

I'd be perfectly happy with either Randolph or Westwood starting for us however. As we've seen multiple times recently Given is long past his best but would imagine his greater experience saw him take the last spot from Forde.

Reports now linking him with Hull City, makes sense as they only have 1 fit keeper starting off this season

Carlos Carvalhal on Westwood to Hull rumours - didn't rule anything out but says he hasn't heard anything firm or "official" either...
