Beckenbauer asked for the Questions in German ,FIFA said no and Franz said if he cant answer them the way i want to in my own  language then i wont be co-operating Cool says he thought it was the 1st of April , this is just Blatter deflecting all the heat off that Cesspit called FIFA .

Surely wanting to answer questions in your own language in case you say/ write the wrong thing is hardly a major felony?  Could this spur Beckenbauer to stand for FIFA President?  He'd certainly be a more popular choice than Platini anyway.

Taken from The Telegraph;
The 68-year-old’s refusal to meet Garcia or respond to written questions in English and German will now be investigated further, which could lead to a more serious sanction.

Fifa said in a statement: “The case is now the subject of formal investigation proceedings being conducted by investigatory chamber member Vanessa Allard as chief of the investigation.” Friday’s punishment came a week after The Telegraph revealed the dismay of some of Fifa’s ExCo over Beckenbauer’s non-cooperation, with vice-president Jim Boyce, Britain’s most senior football official, saying he would support any disciplinary action taken by Garcia.

Another ExCo member described the German’s stance as “pathetic” and called for him to be “named and shamed”. Boyce welcomed Beckenbauer’s ban, saying: “This shows once again how the Fifa reform process is working. The independent ethics committee are doing a good job and should have the full support of everybody.”

Garcia gave a strong hint at Fifa’s annual congress on Wednesday that Beckenbauer was facing action, saying: “The Fifa code of ethics requires all football officials – essentially everyone who has the privilege of working in football – to cooperate with ethics committee investigations and it makes real penalties available against those who fail to fulfil this obligation.” Beckenbauer will now be barred from performing any of his duties, although more serious for him is the damage to his reputation.

It is also another embarrassing episode for the German champions, whose former president Uli Hoeness this month began a three-and-a-half-year jail term for tax evasion.

It is understood Beckenbauer was not the only member of the 2010 Fifa ExCo not to cooperate with Garcia, although he may be the only one still involved in football.

If Qatar goes to a re-vote due to corruption then Russia has to as well. It was the same people who voted.

Report? Published? Nah, it'll be internal and they'll come out and say the confidential report revealed nothing to be worried about, move along, nothing to see here.

So much for promises that things would improve for the migrant workers.  Those who built the Qatar 2022 offices have not been paid in a year:-

Report which was due to be published this week, is unsurprisingly being delayed until September!

Gives Sepp and the boys some time to edit it
