A few weeks ago I tried to book Hawksmoor for the work Christmas party and it was already booked up well in advance.
Would like to try it when the boss is paying.

So roughly €150 ex tip for the grub.

Would expect that price to be honest. A steak and chips in a pub is over €30 these days, more in the city centre.

I like brookwood on merrion row. The sharing steaks in particular are excellent.

Little Korean restaurant called "white rabbit" in the back of the Asian supermarket on Capel street , doesn't look like much but my jaysis it's sensational, if your into Korean fried chicken it's the best I've had in Dublin and very reasonable

Which one you go to? Did the Spitalfields one and couldn't speak higher of it. 700 gram Chateaubriand to share was probably the best steak I've ever had. The anchovie hollandaise is out of this world. Couple of nice bottles of red and more than a couple hundred quid down but absolutely brilliant.

Was in The Pig's Ear on Nassau Street the week before last with work. Menu seemed pretty "normal" for a place that was on the Michelin list but the food was good and didn't find it to expensive at 55 euro for 2 courses.

Restaurants now appear to be to enforce a 2/3 course. I've seen this in a few places.

Uno Mass has the following -
We serve our á la carte menu at both lunch and dinner. For dinner, there is a minimum order of three dishes per person, including a main course. Our menu changes a little each day.

Some of them are €3.50/4 though. They walk you through it well, felt it was good value when we went.

In Uno Mass?

I can understand it was off a tapas menu - but not on a full a la carte menu.
