If someone said i would have to eat 3 dishes i would get up and walk out . I recall the times of the Celtic Tiger when places charged for veg , i never went back to those places .

Reminds me of the night of Robbie Bradys goal in Lille and you had to leave the hotel while everyone else was having a great laugh knocking back drinks as yours was the only room that got bed bugs or something.   To this day I still think the strange package the  Scientist brought from Australia and dumped in your room was behind it ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

Let us know on Sunday how that went.
Think I never get out either, but when you try something different it's not worth the hassle.

Have seen kids in Lemon & Duke, if that's the sort of place you're thinking.

Delicious, fish platter, chips and a bottle of Riesling and you're sorted.

We were there last night. Didnโ€™t have a starter as we were getting the Tomahawk. Its โ‚ฌ95 per kg and ours weighed in at 1.050 kg. I really enjoyed the steak but as a Tomahawk for 2 the plate was a bit light. It was accompanied by 1 corn on the cob, 1 tomato and two pepper halves. We ordered a side of fries which was tiny also, think a MCDs Happy Meal portion of fries.

Had a pint of Guinness which was spot on and then had an โ€œold fashionedโ€ cocktail which is a whiskey based and was a head blower, no shortage of whiskey in it.

Dessert was top notch, went for the Italian lemon cake basically, cant recall the fancy name.

All in it was โ‚ฌ152 before tip for a pint, two cocktails, bottle of water, the Tomohawk and side and the two desserts.

That sounds awfully steep considering the miserable portions.

I was looking at some of the other steaks and they were about 50e for a 9/10oz.

There is no value for money anywhere at moment.  I have given up eating out.

Prefer my own cooking at this stage.  Hard to justify.  Brought myself and 3 kids to Nandoโ€™s before the match on Friday and it was 60 quid for the 4 of us and they still wanted food at the match.

Yep for what it was it was steep. In saying that, the individual steaks that were going by seemed better stocked.

think the ribeye was 38e,  they offered us the tomahawk but we have had a tomahawk previusly elsewhere  and while cooked perfectly and looked great it tasted of nothing
