recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary , went up to black lion, McLean house neven mcguires place.now I’ve never eaten in a Michelin star place in my life, but by god that was outstanding. The food, wine, service and the overall top quality, wow just wow.
Save another two years and we’re going again.

Has anyone any recommendations for reasonably priced (I know, I know) spots in and around the National Concert Hall? Going to see James Vincent McMorrow there on Saturday at 8pm and wanting to get a decent feed in beforehand, leaning towards something Japanese or Asian Fusion but happy to hear any recommendations (other than Spanish restaurants, the missus is from Madrid so while I'm sure there is good quality around, we both know how cheap we can get better versions of the stuff in Spain LOL)

Neon is decent asian grub on Camden street.

Featherblade on Dawson street is surprisingly reasonable, €14 for their basic steak (sides €5)

Very tasty alright.

Mama Yo is across the road is similar and quite nice too.

For a cheapo version of quality Asian food, go to Arisu on Capel St.

Should have stated it was a suggestion. Eating there in a fortnight based on what ive been told. Lad in work in particular who thinks he on the michelin panel and loves his grub highly recommended it.

Jaysis throw in the cost of a baby sitter and taxi home from
town and you could be talking 400 euro just to have a meal and a few drinks.  Madness.

Even eating in is a rip off now with the cost of a takeaway etc.  Only answer is nice meals you cook yourself with a bottle of wine. Probably can do all that for 20 euro.
