Speaking on a personal level , yes a few of my friends are "fans" . Never heard them saying they were going to a concert or buying a cd or t shirt or anything . Its all this public grieving b/s . The same with terror attacks and people changing their FB status and flags

Grief junkies isn't really accurate I don't think. You wouldn't get them going around the town talking about how much they loved him. Its people who take these moments to boost their social media profile by publicly posting how much they cared about X celebrity more than you.

I don't know a lot about that poor baby Charlie Gard in England.
He is terminally ill, his parents want to bring him to the US to try some other treatment, but the doctors in the UK are saying no.
Today in court a barrister for the UK hospital said that the details and the latest scan "makes for sad reading".
This came as news to the parents who didn't have the details of the latest scan, they were in court and "reacted badly".
I can't believe that someone would read that out in open court knowing that the parents didn't have this information.
It beggars belief.
Why is there such a disconnect between people supposedly in charge, and the general public.

this child is going through unnecessary pain and suffering because his folks won't let go. It shouldn't be in court in the first place
