💬 “We have Solly March and Alireza Jahanbakhsh back and fine, Davy Propper we’ll wait until tomorrow.

“Shane Duffy is making good progress, he won’t make the game, but the diagnosis is better than we thought.

“Trossard and Bernardo will still be missing.”

So will Mick add him to the squad announced the other day? Does he have to omit someone fromt he squad that was announced if he wants to?

Huge news
You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995"

Great news, ideally it’ll be Duffy and Egan( as many of us wanted the pairing to be from the beginning)

I would go with Long; Egan seems uncomfortable in a back four.

People are jumping the gun here.  Reports are that he isn't as bad as first thought.  Still touch and go to be fit for EIRE duty.

He's also uncomfortable staying on his feet too.

Watched them V Newcastle (who are probably the poorest team in the division) and Brighton were superb. They didn't do too bad today either. Potter has decided to go try play football, and they will certainly lose some games, some of them probably heavily enough. But they will also win more than their fair share playing like that.

It is a different approach to Hughton, who started from the conservative approach of ''let's not get beaten here'' which is an approach that Duffy excelled in. He is probably still their best out & out defender, but that in itself won't be enough to get him back into the team, he isn't a good enough footballer to play in that Brighton system. He will get another chance due to injuries or suspensions and maybe he'll surprise us, but long term, either he improves as a footballer or he will have to find another club.
