He had a great game. But not Liverpool standard haha. Not good enough on the ball. Could see him at a team challenging for Europa.

Still think he is a gormless so and so. Still not at Richard Dunne type levels for me.

As an Arsenal fan I’d have him any day ahead of our backline. He’s not a champions league defender, would say the margins between him and Richie Dunne are slim, but the latter just shades it

Duffy is a very good player, and there are probably few players in the world who are as dominant in the air. For that reason, I could see a surprise move to a big club. He serves a very clear strategic purpose.
He’s nowhere near Dunne or McGrath though. And as good as he was v Denmark, Dunne in Moscow and McGrath in New Jersey stand as the two outstanding defensive performances in Irish football.

Surely to god if Duffy was partnered up with another center half who can pass the ball well, then he’d be a valuable addition to a team challenging for top 8.
Think he would be a good signing for clubs like Leicester, Wolves and Everton. Everton should never have sold him in the first place.

He'd be a good replacement for blockhead Maguire at Leicester alright, similar sorts of players. For all the b*llicking Duffy gets about his passing, I do think he's come on a lot in the last 3 years; certainly he's not the bombscare he was on the ball.

Should get out of Brighton sharpish if he can, definitely good enough for any of the sides challenging for Europe in the Prem. Would like to see him coached by Rafa if Newcastle weren't such a basket case with Ashley as owner

Id rather see him play week in week out at brighton than go to a bigger club and get benched after a few dodgy games. Hes fine where he is if you ask me.

Jaysus some of the chat in here! He’s a decent player but not as much as people are going on about. One excellent game doesn’t make an excellent player. Lower premier league is his level in my opinion.

yeah easy to get carried away... a really good man mountain of a defender and a rock at the back... but he would need to produce these sort of performances on a consistent basis to move to a top 6 club imo

He’ll never play for a top 6 club. They want ball playing centre backs. He’s lower premier league player.

He's definitely mid-table quality. Top 6 is a push, but he's moved way beyond what is required for your typical relegation-struggler defender.

I'd take him at United. He's better than Smalling, Jones & Rojo.
