Done well in both games but Ciaran Clark is still our best centre back.

This aspect of his game has certainly improved, hopefully it continues. I still have some fears about him, but am starting to think he could become a Dunne-like figure for us.

He was at fault for the 2 goals against France, was caught out completely for goal against Moldova.

His distribution against Austria (I think) was horrific.

But he's learning from these mistakes and definitely glad MON is sticking with him (and Clark).

The chap is an absolute unit. Could develops into a top centre half with a few years of premiership experiance.

Noticed while defending the first few set pieces at the start of the game against Serbia, when people didn't seem to know where they should be, he was roaring at players, organising everything defensively. Was impressive

I thought again MON was tactically inept on Tuesday. Clark was being beat in the air all night and he still didn't want to swap him with Duffy. Duffy is a beast in the air. Maybe because the 2 lads are teammates.

Another mistake in the box while his CB partner covers for him again.

And the corner leads to a goal! Really poor game from Duffy.

He's a long, long way from the finished product. I'd still feel much more secure with JOS starting for us.
