I believe he's been playing RB for Sunderland? Do you think he can play RWB?

I only ask because in our last game vs Switzerland, we played 3 at the back, with Michael Smith (Hearts), who's normally a RB, playing at RWB.

Amd now that Smith has pulled out injured, it looks as if Winchester is his direct replacement.

Of course, Baraclough might go with Dallas at either RB or RWB, Dallas having been unavailable for the last two games?

In which case CW may be on the bench anyhow.

Yes I do think Carl could play ring wing back he's been getting forward loads this season and scored three goals and has also set up goals

He is already a candidate for player of the season.

Thanks, good to hear.

It would be unusual if he did get capped, seeing as it would be 10 years after his only other senior cap, as a sub in the late and unlamented Carling Nations Cup, where we lost 2-0 to Wales in front of a "crowd" of 529 spectators in the AVIVA.

Our team that night was a strong contender for the weakest NI team ever:

Northern Ireland: Tuffey, Hodson, Coates, Cathcart (Dallas 63), McAuley, Norwood, Carson, Garrett (Winchester 76), McGinn (Owens 80), Feeney (Boyce 73), Gorman.

Subs Not Used: Blayney, McQuoid.

He is an early candidate as he's been man of the match in the majority of games this season.

And?

Any "stronger" than these names from eg your most recent U-19's squad?

James Abankwah, Tayo Adaramola,  Val Adedokun, Bosun Lawal, Aidomo Emakhu

I mean, why would anyone even make a comment like yours? Wacko

I'm not really bothered about the EPL trophy but a young Sunderland side did a professional job on a more senior Lincoln team in the 2 1 win.

Neil and O'Brien outstanding.

Cracking goal from Neil assist from O'Brien

Winchester's call-up comes over ten years after his last, and only, appearance for the North. Shocked

That surpasses the almost ten year gap between Stephen Gleeson's second and third appearances for us.

If Winchester gets his second cap, it still won't beat Colin Doyle's remarkable record as an Ireland goalkeeper-almost 11 years between his first and second caps.

Caden got a two minutes appearance at the end of the game

McShane played well.

Deserved win for a very young Sunderland team.

Younger and Wearne outstanding.
