Of all the MANY disappointments following Sunderland over a lot of years yesterday was one of the worst.

Gut wrenching.

Very much so DM. A throughly depressing result with the playoffs now looking like a certainty.

Looking at the table unless Barnsley rightly feck up both of their next games which I can't see them doing both I think it's playoffs for you only question is will they meet be joining you in the playoffs.

Portsmouth game is a massive one for both teams.

Portsmouth's form is unbelievable. They will win their game in hand against Peterborough , if they can win on Saturday they will get second. There is no question that they will be going to Sunderland to win. It's a free shot for them and I think Sunderland are already preparing for the playoffs. I'll be putting them in my accumulator.

Just to compound things Bryan Oviedo may miss the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.

I’m just realising how many teams in League 1 have endured rather extraordinary recent histories be it with absences from League Footballs, members of the PL, Major Cup Finals, recent creation, threats to existence etc. Is that all leagues, or is the current League 1 just very over represented in this regard?

Very true though a lot of championship clubs have had similar problems.

Aiden McGeady received the player of the season award as voted by the Sunderland fans tonight and Luke O'Nien got the young player trophy. Cool

A scruffy 1 0/2 1 win would do.

As long as Barnsley slip up.
